Matting
Severely matted coats require extra attention; grooming will not cause undue stress to your pet.
Heavy matting can trap moisture and bacteria, and may reveal pre-existing skin irritations.
Removing mats may cause abrasions, itchiness, redness, hematomas or temporary behavioral changes.
Each service includes up to 15 minutes of brushing/dematting at no extra cost. Additional time due to severe matting may incur extra charges.
Severe matting may require a shorter haircut or shaving for safety and the animal’s comfort.
Aggression
Owners must inform Maddog’s Pet Grooming if their pet bites, has bitten, or is aggressive toward people, other pets, or specific grooming procedures.
Muzzles may be used for safety; they do not harm the pet.
Services may be refused or stopped if aggressive behavior occurs.
Owners are liable for any medical expenses or damages resulting from their pet’s aggression.
Fleas / Ticks / Lice
Parasites are a health hazard to pets and humans.
Pets found with fleas, ticks will be treated.
If lice are found, grooming will cease immediately, and veterinary care is advised.
A $20 disinfection fee will apply.
Cancellations
Cancellations require 24-hour notice.
No-shows or last-minute cancellations may require prepayment for future visits.
Emergencies are handled on a case-by-case basis, not regularly.
A $25 cancellation/no-show fee may apply at Maddog’s Mobile Pet Grooming discretion.
